"We hold the mess, so you can hold the moment."

Healing begins when people have a safe place to bring the messy, complicated parts of their story. We focus on understanding, awareness, and growth — helping clients make sense of their experiences and move forward with clarity and confidence.

"Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing, there is a field. I'll meet you there." — Rumi

To extend an olive branch is to say: I am willing to meet you where you are.

🌱 Young Children (0–5) 🧩 Children (6–12) 🌙 Teens 🌿 Adults 🏡 Families 🤝 Couples

🌿 Counseling & Therapy Services

Individual therapy (ages 3 and up), family therapy, blended family therapy, coparenting counseling, couples counseling, pre-marital counseling, recovery counseling, trauma-focused therapy, EMDR, play therapy, Play Modeling for Parents, water therapy, sand therapy, guided hypnosis, ADHD therapy, Autism Sensory Exposure, divorce counseling, separation adjustment counseling, and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT).

🤝 Family Reunification

A four-phase, clinically guided process for reunifying a parent and child after an extended absence. Advancement is based on clinical readiness, not a fixed timeline.

Phase 1
Concurrent Individual Preparation
Phase 2
PCIT-Influenced Parent Coaching
Phase 3
Supervised Visits
Phase 4
Unsupervised Visits with Concurrent Family Therapy

Phase 4 takes place at our on-site play café.

👨‍👩‍👧 PCIT Group

10-week group format: weeks 1–5 with parents only (skill-building), then weeks 6–10 with children present. A parent who does not pass the first five weeks restarts with the next five-week rotation, unless social services documents an exception for why the child cannot join weeks 6–10.

📋 Assessments

  • Parental Capacity Assessments — multi-source, court-focused assessment (interviews, standardized measures, parent-child observation, collateral contacts, records review) with a written clinical report. Standard fee $500; payment plans and sliding scale available.
  • Court-Ordered Assessments — mental health, substance use disorder (SUD), and emotional injury assessments through our in-house providers; compiled into a single court package when an ROI is on file.

📚 Parenting Education & Mediation

Parenting Classes

DCBS-approved Nurturing Parenting Program curricula (Coparenting, Parenting After Abuse, Protective Parenting), taught by a licensed, NPP-certified provider; offered as an eight-class course or weekend intensive.

Protective Co-Parenting Mediation

For families with EPOs, DVOs, or safety concerns; parents are never required to share a space. Individual sessions, rotated scheduling, and a written summary of agreed terms for the Court.

🧩 Therapy Groups

  • Grief & Anger Group (combined) — one combined group given the overlap between the two; 8–12 weeks depending on progress or social worker requirement.
  • Middle & High School Group — Sundays at 2:00 PM.
  • After School Wind Down (Elementary) — weekdays 2:30–5:30 PM (pickup by 5:40); bus drop-off available when coordinated in advance. Free through group therapy with state insurance, with pull-out psychoeducation including homework help; $40/day private pay (snack included) for non-state insurance.
  • After School Holistic Wellness Group for Kids — for elementary, middle, and high school kids, Monday–Wednesday 2:30–5:30 PM; bus drop-off accepted. Combines emotional health activities with physical wellbeing practices — movement, breath, rest, nourishment, and connection. Open to the broader community, no therapy referral needed; enroll through therapy or self-pay.

☕ Play Café, Open Play & Custody Exchange

  • Court-day open play — free supervised open play with a play guide for our weekly therapy clients who are in court at the adjacent courthouse, with a note signed by their attorney; free for up to 3 hours, then $20/hour. Non-therapy clients: $20/hour.
  • Open play for active clients — clients receiving weekly services, including CPS-referred clients, receive free open play access during the week.
  • Custody exchanges — court-referred families may use the play café at no cost as a neutral, supervised, child-friendly exchange setting.

🎉 TCM Client Supports

TCM clients receive free open play, free access to our hosted children's events, and TCM Thursdays — a standing community day with free lunch, food pantry, laundry help, and resources such as free haircuts and car-seat installation psychoeducation. Reunification visits are encouraged on TCM Thursdays.

In need of extra resources? Email ArielN@theolivebranchtppc.com. TCM Thursdays offers free lunch, activities, and open play for our therapy friends enrolled in TCM services.

🔗 Case Coordination

We coordinate with social workers, drug court, and other involved parties throughout every case, provide bi-weekly updates to the assigned social worker, and compile findings into a single package for the Court when an ROI is on file.
